Transparent UHB red chip(AX14) for lighting application

For the requests of both RGB 3-in-1 & warm white application, the view angle of Red LED must similar to Blue LED and there is no light absorption by substrate. Red UHB LED with transparent substrate is an ideal product for such application. How to combine active layer with transparent substrate, which must structure with excellent resistance ability to UV and moisture is the biggest challenge for chip makers. 

In general, the material for combining UHB MQW layer with transparent substrate is epoxy glue at wafer bonding technology. Epistar has developed a new technology platform-TSB (Transparent Substrate Bonding) method which can solve the above mentioned issues.
